February 2008 Contest Update

PDN Photo District News, a photo journalism magazine, had a contest that I placed in. World in Focus, and I entered the "Extreme Exploration" category. Search winners by my name, Bryan Lowry.

The image was printed in the Feb. 2008 issue.

Exciting Contest Update! October 2007

Finally, today, October 25, 2007, the results of the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest were announced. I've known of the results since June, but I was sworn to secrecy until now.

I entered images into 3 categories. Two were finalists. One in the black and white category and the other in the Wild Places category. It received the Highly Commended award! Basically theresan overall winner and a runner-up, and 4 images tied for 3rd. Highly commended.

This is arguably the world's largest and most prestigious photography contest. This was my second year entering.
